Fake Grass is a Growing Trend

Fake grass seems to be an ever growing trend that is spreading nationwide. For example, with synthetic grass purchases coming from States such as Iowa, Michigan and Virginia, artificial turf is no longer just a solution for people living in dry climates such as California, Nevada and Arizona. The artificial grass cost is justified all over the country and not for just the Southwestern United States.

In fact, every week there are dozens of new contractors in new States trying to add synthetic grass installation services to their existing landscape or construction business. This only makes good sense since most of these businesses already have the tools and labor available to perform installation services and provide their customers with a beautiful artificial lawn.

We expect more in the future and are already seeing this fake grass phenomenon spreading to other new States such as Montana, Idaho and Wyoming. Until then, synthetic grass installations will remain one of the fastest growing landscape services in the country.

I installed synthetic grass in June and I love it.
It is the only part of my property I don’t have to maintain and it looks phenomenal. I have one major problem, I live in the City of Clearwater in Florida and even though they are touting themselves as the “Go Green” city they are telling me my new lawn is against code. Apparently they have a code that is 30 years old
stating no astro turf and everything should be natural. My outlook is that if you are “Going green” it is an all or nothing situation, therefore the going green guidelines override the 30 year old code. Anyone have any ideas on fighting them? I’m planning on going to the news media to start.
